   Scholarship Distribution to 100 students
  The Ekalavya Foundation, repeated its last year’s fete of giving one time scholarship of Rs. 3000/- to 100 meritorious but poorest of poor students of the district who are continuing their further education despite financial drawback in their families. It included 47 girls and 53 boys. An elaborate function was organized at KB Complex, Utnoor Mandal in Adilabad district by the Foundation on August 9 2009. The parents of the students also attended the function and shared the community Lunch after the function.
   Justice, C Venkata Ramulu, and Justice Chandrakumar Judges of AP High Court, were honoured guests on the occasion, They blessed the students and citing his life time examples encouraged the present students for planned and continuous practice to achieve their goals. The Khanapur MLA Ms. Suman Rathore also spoke on the occasion amongst many other speakers.
  The students were given cash and study materials as a part of one time scholarship. For determining the study materials for the Students they were grouped  in Maths, Physics, Chemistry (MPC), Biology PC (BiPC), Civics, Economics, Commerce (CEC) , History, Eco, Civ (HEC), IIIT and vocational courses according to their medium of studies. All the science group students were also given good quality Geometry boxes. Besides these each student was given good quality of school bags, set of 10 pens, one set of Vivekananda Sahitya (each set had 14 books), good ‘English to Telugu Dictionary’ and four books related to moral values. Deducting the value of the study materials the rest amount in cash was given to the students.
The scholarship was sponsored by the Infosys Foundation of Bangalore.
   Library Books Distribution
  96 Schools have been given Library books worth Rs 3000/- for each school to help inculcate the reading habits amongst students. The books had been selected by an expert team and included subject supporting books and books to guide the lives of students to become a responsible citizen of the country. Segment in-charges of Vidya-Vahini Committee of the Foundation facilitated programmes in schools in various regions of Adilabad district. The Foundation has also given 4 sets of library books to establish village libraries in four GPs namely, Mahagaon, Kanchanpally, Daboli and Rasimetta.
